Smugglers just got released. They seem pretty neat.

Although I have to say they really should have a third neutral faction.

Quote from: Steve;1598379Nowadays?

Old WoW was WAAAAAY more of a grind than today, especially when raiding was the thing to do. Pots, bandages, resistance gear, gold and the world buffs from felwood, or Dragonslayer from downing Onyxia. And that was needed just for the newer bosses (Example: Naxx 40 man)

Preparing for a Raid on a day was a grindfest, just for the low chance of a purple item (sure, you could flaunt that shit, they were hard to get so every noob and their mom wanted a taste of your dick, especially T3), but the amount of effort was more than today's grinding.

And then, if you couldn't be in a Raid guild, you were in a gay ass fuckfest grind in Warsong gulch trying to reach Rank 13 and complete your Warlord set which got ass raped by the Tier gear.

Longstory short: It's been a grindfest since the beginning, it's just easier, but broader now.

I disagree to some points, there was no arena so there was no real forum for overpowered/geared people to express their grindtastic gear; Thus even if to achive the highest levels of asskicking you had to grind your soul away the few who did never amounted to anything more than a few /hail when they were standing in Ironforge/Ogri.
So even if you did not grind you could still do ample fun stuff with your friends and not have it ruined by some overgeared person or even thinking about the works of raids etc.

Nowdays it is broader but it is more refined aswell, you can't escape the grind, everything is grind, every faction has dailys, every guild raids and even PvP has daily/weekly objectives you HAVE to do unless you want to become someones PvP bitch :(
It was harder back in the day, but nowdays it is industrialized to the point where every part of the game is interwoven with the grind. Atleast back in the day there were something amazing waiting behind every hill, some cool Ncp, some cool quest or some cool sight, now with flying mounts and grind there is no magic left: Everything is planned; Why even read the questlog when you got questhelper?...

Sorry Dwarf of Nator won't post anymore WoW stuff just wanted to answer :D

Thor

I bet this game is going to make Mandalorians a race instead of a class. So no  Rodian Mandalorians duel-wielding blaster pistols for thor clock :(
Quote from: MafiaMettaurWhat the hell is with that shit you posted? You know what, I'm joining the Locks, just to stop stuff like you!
Quote from: polyhedronclockYou're a fucking clock, what else do you have?
To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

MonocleClock

If Wookie is a playable Race, I'd be a Wookie Trooper or Jedi if possible.

We'll see.

And what about the Ewoks, Jawas, and all the other midget critters?

They aren't as popular as slaves, mainly because they are useless and make annoying sounds.

Wookie slaves are in high demand though.

I want my wookie in a princess Leia slave outfit.

But to contribute: I'm really having some hope for this game, I know I really shouldn't but I'm just that Gleeful, I've been wanting to hop away from WoW since it became a giant borefuck now, and I want something brand spankin new. But even if it does go down the drain I'd probably stick with it for about 3 months till I stop being stubborn and say "This sucks" while I cancel the sub scription.

And I find myself as one of those folks not wanting to be a Force user, it's much more interesting to be something completely different that people don't pay attention too. But go "Wow! Look at that!" when they see it.

Thor

I don't see any loss if I get bored of it after a few months. In those first few months of playing the game before I quit I'll have had enough fun with it to warrant the purchase.

Bioware would have to fuck up pretty hard to make the first few levels not fun.

What gets me with most MMOs is that if you are not familiar with anything and a complete newb/learner. I love it.

I love to go into a game I know jack squat about, and learn the ropes. Its basically a whole new experience, find a rock and your like "Holy shit its a rock, fuck this is some high end exploring shit!"

But when you play that MMO(Or any game for that matter) For quite sometime, you become an elistist (jerk?) and basically when you see that rock again, you can instantly give out the background story of how some pissed off sith cut a boulder in half to make said rock,  right out of the lore filled contents of your head.

In other words I'm going to pick this up and reject other MMOs out there, cause I'm tired of Dragons and Warriors with the largest shoulderpads in the world. I want a SciFi MMO with a world I'm familiar with, but would love to explore and learn about its contents.

Also I hope we get our own ships that are required to go to planet to planet (Or a taxi service, hopping on a friend's ship or riding a freighter. Any possibilities could apply)

And hey, if it sucks, I'll just play the shitty game.
