This is prolly Plato's Playground, but fuck it I'm pissed off and I feel like most American clocks probably are. Why can't we get anything fucking done in this country? We no longer have a democracy if we can't get legislation that a vast majority of the public and our representatives want passed. This most recent health care bill has now been reduced to a steaming pile of shit thanks to douchey Repub.'s and fucking Lieberman. If I could get work I'd move to France or something.

Seriously though, I know there are a ton of overseas Clocks, it must be nice not having this nationwide perception of half the population that your country is completely without fault and therefore can NEVER change for fear of waking up one morning and there being too many black people in your neighborhood or something. I can't wait 'til whites are the minority in this country.

EDIT: Joe threatened to cross "party lines" (even though he's technically a moderate now) to filibuster health care reform with the republicans unless the public option and buy-in for 55+y-o's the Medicare were removed. They now have been, and the bill is a fucking turd that I hope does not get passed. The dem.'s had a fucking supermajority, how pathetic is my damned party that they can't get legislation passed with a supermajority.

You should probably mention the incompetant democrats who fluffed up a dying federal reserve and started off pretty much most of their bills (including the health care one) with compromise. If any of them had any balls they'd just steamroll republicans like the republicans did in the early Bush administration. Unfortunately the house and senate only seem to be good at being bought out by banks for campaign money and tax deductions. They don't really seem to know how government works or how to read legislation. I've more or less concluded the hope for any reasonable government in the US is fruitless. Just seems like we're going the wrong way in two very polar directions while this country eats itself alive.

On the other hand if Cali legalizes pot I may just think about relocation despite the taxes and raging weirdos on both ends of the spectrum.
