i am working on a drawing thats really really really (really) detailed and now flash lags so slow that i usually "run out of memory" (to quote the error box) when i try to do something and if not it just goes slow was heck, how can i reduce lag or do i have to make individual parts in different files (i hope not holy shit)

How much RAM do you have? I'd try closing every other program you possibly can.

2 gb which seems like it should be enough for some fucking lines and even when everythings closed it still does it

maybe you could transfer parts to either photoshop or illustrator as vectors to assemble it?

honestly im not familiar enough with either one to want to draw in them. I guess assembling it in different files isnt a big deal but i dont get why just a one frame line drawing crashes the whole thing

how detailed are we talking about?

its not really that much theres hardly any lines its just tiny fills

its not even halfway done though so this is annoying i really want to finish
