Since the old thread was deleted. I've got three badges now and I'm about to catch myself a sudowoodo, I love that thing.

I pretty much finished it already, all I have to do is catch a couple of legendaries and defeat Red, and perhaps raise a team for the battle frontier, I was thinking of Snorlax or slaking, Shuckle and some special sweeper.

Also I just want to say that Parasect is and awesome pokemon for catching other pokemon, so you might be interested in getting one.

I only have 1 badge so far and I plan on getting a Pineco and possibly a Sudowoodo on my team. And the team I currently have is:

Totodile
Mareep
Spinarak

The only Pokemon I've been training are Typlosion, Ampheros, Togetic, Ariados, Parasect, Manectric, Weavile, shuckle and Butterfree.

I've also trained Gyrados a little even though it's main role is HM slave, despite that it helped out in the E4.

A Pokemon with Compound Eyes and Thief is great, I just got 2 Lucky Eggs.

Oh mannn I hate buying remakes of games I already own, but I fucking love Gold and Silver. I might have to pick up a copy. Is Kanto significantly improved?

Plus my save battery in Silver is dead and I'm too lazy to replace it D:

Just got it. Have a level 10 Totodile and level 7 Pidgey.

I hate how much these games depend on luck though.
Streaks of getting hit by yourself due to confusion are way too common, causing you to lose even though the battle would normally be a sure win for you.

Catching legendaries can be a pain too, you can maximize your chances of catching them but may still end up using over 30 ultra balls.

I will catch a chinchou.


Chinchou is my favorite pokemon ever.

Just beat the third gym and I have to say this is a worthy remake.

Rollout can be bothersome, but when it fails a turn it'll lose it's power, so you can consider to paralyze the opponent or put it to sleep.
Making it lose it's accuracy works fine too or just choose a Pokemon which resists Rollout, like Geodude or Onix

I assume you're talking about Whitney's Miltank so it's also a good idea to use female pokemon, putting it to sleep also prevents it from using Milkdrink.

I just made my way to Goldenrod city and I'm about to take on the 3rd gym. I'll see if I have trouble with Whitney's Miltank.

That battle is all luck. I killed both her pokes with my first poke but my friends all had hell to deal with.

Yeah, you can trade a Drowzee for a Machop, Why would you want to trade an Abra for a Machop anyway?
Abra gets much stronger and is much harder to catch.
Drowsee for Machop is a fine trade though.

To my use able Pokemon I've added Snorlax, another Shuckle, Gardevoir, Gallade, Umbreon, Dragonite, Shiftree, Blissey and Absol.

I also finally got my Togetic to evolve

I've also managed to get a shiny Goldeen and Dodrio

I got it yesterday.
