Does the Chat Room work?

When I was in the lurking period I tried connecting to the chat room and I got some sort of error message (I don't remember it but I think it was something along the lines of access refused), now when I click "Chat Room" at the top of the forum index I get a screen with some text and no chat window at all.

Is it broken or am I doing something wrong? I should note I was on different computers at either attempt so I might be missing a plugin on this one.
