Lets unlock Portal 2 early

Are you looking forward to Portal 2? Do you want to help get the game unlocked earlier so you can play it this weekend? Do you want to possibly get something could for TF2? If you said yes to any of the above you are a nerd. Also, you should help get Portal 2 unlocked earlier!

So those bars? when all of those bars are filled up Portal 2 will be unlocked for play. As of posting only one of the bars has been filled. Playing any of the games listed will speed up the eventual unlocking of Portal.

BUT THORCLOCK, IS THERE ANYTHING MORE I CAN DO THAN JUST RUNNING THE GAME IN THE BACKGROUND WHILE I MASTURBATE TO VORE?

Yes there is: collecting Potatoes! Potatoes are special collectible items that show up in your user profile on steam and apparently multiply the amount that your playtime fills the bar. You can find out how to get potatoes by going to the Valve ARG wiki and clicking on specific games to get more info

Now get to work you guys, I want to play Portal 2 over the weekend. Also I have a sneaking suspicion there's a prize if you have enough potatoes by the end of the thing.

EDIT: The valve ARG wiki seems to be having server issues do to an overwhelming amount of traffic. It may take a while to load or not load at all for you

ARG in a nutshell (or should I say, potato sack)
Buy the potato sack on release, you obtain that potato hat in tf2.
Oh look, the light is being powered by a potato.
GLaDOS needs to be powered by all the Potatos we get. And (now stay with me) are powering her with the potatos through our computer?

The ARG community decided to all idle in that game to fill it up. Nobody was actually playing it.

That probably isn't going to work on other games though, since Killing Floor consistently has a fuckton of people online but the bar is barely filling. I think some games might have special requirements to fill (ie Killing Floor only fills if people play the new Aperture map)

I just Watched my friends play on ps3 and its fuckin nice, co op seems challenging enough, ill probably give it a nice rent.

Every time a games bar is completely filled it takes a large lump of time off the bar at once. I'm confident the game will still be released early.
