Some of the parts were actually pretty well done. I just don't understand why you switched from shooting some of it on 3's or 4's which makes it look choppy and other parts on 1's or 2's.

LOL HEY BABY! I've been busy with my animation course at uni plus I also got a job doing graphic design for a small company. We make iPhone apps and websites and other cool things

I'm not exactly sure why, since I only worked on the animation side, but I'm going to go with the fact the edit man, Darcy needed to slow down a few shots.

Unfortunately I was about 3 months too late in knowing the guy to have worked on Lucky. However, not sure if you know or not, but Lucky was made once before previously, but then his studio was broken into and his harddrive with his only copy on there got stolen. So he had to redo it. But apparently the one on youtube now is about 10x better than what it would have been.

I thought it was really great, the only thing that killed it for me and the other people at my work was the ability to still see alpha/opaque versions of the person holding the diode for long exposures.

To get a better effect, try using a color remover, where something that stands out, like a one peice leotard supersuit: http://www.superfansuits.com/

They look silly, but they help mask you so you dont have so much definition when you create the effect. Using Black, or a crazy color such as HOT PINK or NEON GREEN will allow you to chroma yourself out if you have a replacement image for the backdrop.. such as the same shot and adjusted tint/lighting for a fill..


Other than that.. Great work!

Hey bluezombie, there's no after effects in it at all. Everything you see was captured in camera. Which is why he left in the silhouettes of the people making it. It shows that it was all really there and that we didn't do any super post editing. I think it gives it a nicer feel too.
