i really like the first one, the style complements the tone

but the second one i dont really like or understand all that much. it reminds me of master chief and other things that i hate

Your hands look awful. Also I know the characters aren't supposed to have perfect anatomy but the knee on the guy in the first one is just crazy out of whack yo. It may help you if you do a bit of work on your anatomy or draw more from life.
