Been saving up for awhile. Most everybody has told me I should just build something better but fuck that noise. If nothing else, I think it's a huge fucking improvement over what i've been using these past couple of years..

I had him recommend me a laptop to save up for and we kinda agreed on this one but the one in the OP is a better deal IMO.

edit: that's a pretty cool laptop though, I think that processor might be better than the one I have in my computer right now lol.

I've been meaning to buy a laptop for school, but I'll probably end up getting a cheap netbook since all I really need it for is taking notes and looking at reddit in class.

Yeah the one you found in the OP is a better deal, definitely. I'm glad to hear you can finally afford the upgrade. That laptop should be able to handle playing any game out there.

Awesome. Yeah, people are saying in the consumer reviews that they've been running Crysis 2 at full settings. I'd be shocked if I could do that but it should be able to run it at med-high settings at least.

Crysis 2 is a lot more consolified than Crysis 1 so you should have no problem playing it.

When looking into buying a computer, always bare in mind that you can build something almost twice as powerful for about half the price. I built a Ã,£797 budget computer which else would have cost me around Ã,£1200. Yaaaay for technical know-how!

Believe me, I know. I just want a more portable option. Towers are nice but considering I have no decent monitor/keyboard i'd probably be paying close to 1200 anyway.

Laptops are good for on the go stuff, but for gaming you'd need to spend a godly amount of money for a decent one. Most of these so-called "gaming laptops" have terrible graphics cards. Either that or shitty processors. $1200 sounds about right for a decent gaming laptop though, and the one you linked looks very nice! Loving the shape. It's aaallll about shape.
