It's a javascript chat using node.js which is supposed to make it pretty much accessible everywhere (seen here http://chat.nodejs.org/). I think flounderman made a mistake in typing Java, oh well.

The problem is some people (like me) use IRC anyway so it's more convenient to just have a CC IRC channel.

I'm not sure on the specifics of the future chat, but I don't think integrating irc will be all that difficult.

We're discussing new systems, we're definitely not doing the site wide democratic poll again. The new one is probably gonna be "submit x flash post for x months get a person to sponsor you, you get clockificated"

idk, i do know exactly what you're saying because it seemed to me like there were always anti-me and pro-me factions during my time as a clockfriend when i was super active, but i kinda feel like that's always gonna exist. as long as there's a definite clockification system in place i'm happy, on .net it felt like a super-mod had to just decide to clockify you
