I absolutely love BBC shows, and I've been going through them like a mad man. Unfortuntely I'm running out of things I know to watch.

So far I've exhausted: QI, Black Books, the Young Ones, Lead Balloon, Doctor Who, Torchwood, That Mitchell and Webb Look, Peep Show, Monkey Dust, Black Adder, 'Allo 'Allo, Faulty Towers, Primeval, Father Ted, the IT Crowd, and I'm sure there are others but I'm drawing a blank.

What are some things that maybe I haven't seen but should?

You've got some good ones up there.  Brass Eye? The League Of Gentlemen? Spaced? 15 stories high? Extras? The mighty boosh? The Day Today? The Office? And then there's game show stuff like Shooting Stars, Nevermind The Buzzcocks.. oh which reminds me, Grandma's House with Simon Amstell is pretty funny.

e: these are all comedy by the way

Quote from: polyhedronclockYou're a fucking clock, what else do you have?
To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

Blackmagic showed me Brass Eye years ago, but I don't think I ever watched all of it, so I'll have to. Same to the Mighty Boosh. The Office I've seen all of, Nevermind the Buzzcocks I downloaded and didn't really like. I'll have to check out the rest of that lot though. Thanks. :)

Monty Python I've seen.

Quote from: PezDispenserclock;1948598Abba, I might not smoke weed, but I experiancing it being hit with a crowbar on a modded TTT server. Flashing colours, screen flipped, screen flying. Yup, I know how it\'s like.

Definitely watch The Office, followed by Gervais and Merchants other (better I think) series, Extras.

Also if you want stuff in the same vein as Young Ones watch Filthy Rich and Catflap, and Bottom.

EDIT: If you haven't seen Spaced watch that. Also Only Fools and Horses is brilliant. Porridge is a classic and should be seen. Red Dwarf is a favourite of mine. Not a traditional sitcom, but if you're interested in British political comedy, then you need to watch The Thick of It which is great.

double edit: if you're in to sketch comedy, The Fast Show is a much watch

Open all hours is quite good. Even though he's quite unbearable now, Peter Kays Phoenix Nights was very good

Quote from: CadillacClock;1869079i got a chance to see amstell's stand up gig after his departure from the buzzcocks; he should not have quit his day job.

Just after he quit buzzcocks, I saw him doing the first of his practice gigs. You know the ones where they test out material and take notes on reactions the entire time. There were only about 20 people there and as you can imagine it was hit and miss. The hits were pretty good though. I've heard several times since then that his final show was crap though so maybe those initial shows werent so helpful

Shouldn't you be watching Top Gear by now? (The British version, the American Version is horrible.)

GreyClock

If you liked the Young Ones you should watch Bottom.

also what's that show called that parodies 60/70's educational tv in the first season, and then later among others a competition for music in the year 2000 judged by Igor Stravinsky

Since all the good stuff has been mentioned id also like to suggest Outnumbered considering its the only show staring children that i actually enjoy.
That and Hugh Dennis is awesome.

Look Around You?

You said you liked QI but not Buzzcocks so I'm not sure where you stand on panel shows, but you could try Have I Got News For You or Mock the Week. Both rely pretty heavily on British domestic politics for their material, the former more so than the latter, but there's enough random banter for it to be funny to non-British viewers.

And since you already mentioned at least two things with David Mitchell, you could try a third panel show, Lie To Me. Which is not that great in itself, but he is team captain and it's basically just another vehicle for him to rant angrily about stuff.
