My brother bought this and its amazing. I just haven't had a chance to play it. :(

goddamn archery is so fun in this game. And so is hand to hand. There's nothing like finishing off a dragon by punching it in the face.

Glad to hear they improved both of these.

Quote from: Lump Clock;1875110My Imperial is named Rakdos and he is a loose canon cop who lives on the edge, doesn't play by the rules, and doesn't take shit from anybody... except maybe giants and mammoths.

Aaaaag just came across my first bullshit quest, went in totally unprepared and got trapped in a stupid place with a ton of high level enemies. This is why you always make multiple save files.

Honestly they've improved so much since oblivion. Archery, Magic, Aesthetics, Weapons combat, Blocking, alchemy, enchanting, smithing, quests, forts, caves, locations, UI, etc etc etc..

The cynics are really missing out. I'm damn impressed.

WrenchClock

See, here's where we're going wrong. We can't hack it playing COD.

And the quests! The quests are (for the most part) so good! And talking to people is so different and so much better! The whole atmosphere is amazing too!

From Oblivion to Skyrim is really night and day, I have to agree completely. Even after playing Skyrim for a few hours I can already see how silly and cartoony and clunky Oblivion was. God, it is refreshing.

AbsintheClock

I've still just been taking my time killing, looting, breaking into peoples homes, and testing ingredients. I really like the animations they put up when you kill stuff with the duel war axes. I also really like the river.

Compared to oblivion, I actually want to listen to npcs now.

Ive got no problems with the controls. I'm playing on xbox.

AbsintheClock

I'm on a ps3 and the controls are fine.

Quote from: GreyClock;1875180Oh yeah, PC.

yeah I heard PC ui was kind of a bad port (I be on PS3). If it's too bothersome, I'd search around for some early fixes. I'd also look into setting mouse acceleration to one, that's supposed to improve it a lot.

They're not that bad. I had to tweak with a few things such as mouse sensitivity. I reassigned a few keys here and there.

I haven't had too many problems.

WrenchClock

Textures on the PS3 go a bit lo-res at times, hopefully a patch will fix that.
