I am noticing that every committed relationship I get in goes the same way: The object of my affection always starts off sweet and doting and attentive and slowly but surely evolves into some self-absorbed, money grubbing bitch.

I have three theories.

1) It is me. I emotionally tend to shut people out and they are just absorbing/reflecting my own inability to connect to someone/make a commitment.

2) All women are just materialistic and pathologically narcissistic and just draw men in with promises of being "different then the rest" until they get close enough to show their true colors. They know men are stubborn and egotistical and will spend their time and resources trying to "make it work" since they've already invested so much.

3) My penis is cursed, pumping out semen infused with some personality altering Thugee cult Kali Ma sperm.

The truth is women are emotional leeches. When they suck all the emotion out of your system to a point where you don't give a fuck anymore they'll usually move on if you don't dump em first. This is why it's important to break the stubborn pattern, and be like "fuck that bitch" and dump the girl if she is showing any serious signs of crazy bitch syndrome. If not she will keep your balls in that prada bag for the duration of the relations.

I'm of the opinion that ALL people are "materialistic and pathologically narcissistic", but you only notice the females because they're the only ones you have relationships with (I presume).

Relationships in general require good balance. If you focus too much in one area in the beginning, the other one will expect that as the standard or will cause shut down the road

I am going to have to assume that #1 is the case. #2 seems to make an unjustified universal claim, while #3 seems to make an unjustified appeal to the supernatural, so through a process of elimination I have objectively concluded that everything is your fault. Deal with it.

What I'm saying is... I treat people how I'm treated. I can be romantic and generous as hell. But when I put all this effort into making someone feel special and they treat me like I don't matter... well, I don't like it.

I've seen less fortunate guys (read:not as attractive) tolerate women abusing them because they don't want to be alone. That is not a fear I have at this point in my life. But I keep saying "I'll find someone better who will appreciate me more" and then can never find that person. I've already stated that it could be my own doing.
