Quote from: InkwellClock;1892025Thanks a lot for all the positive feedback guys:)

Also thanks for the critique Sinister, I agree with you on several of your points. It's been a valuable learning experience to make this film though I feel we would have been able to iron out some of the things you mentioned If we had been atleast 2 more people on our team, but alas.

Propaganda, I totally get your point, but we weren't allowed to make the film longer than 5 minutes so we didn't have the time to go that much into detail about their relationship.

Ribs, if you're prepared to go to Europe you could apply at The Animation Workshop. They teach their students a shitload of valuable things. Not only animation but also storyboarding, character design 3d modelling, texturing, rigging and a ton of other things. All the teachers are or have been in the actual indistry so they really know their stuff.

Ofcourse mate, it's a deus ex machina for projecting a feeling on people, you'd be stupid not to use one with such limited time so it's just smart. Was mostly joking, it's great :D

I have complete faith that you'd do something prodigious on all planes if you got the time to do it. <3

We did write an entire backstory for the characters about where they came from and that kind of stuff. If we ever get the money and time to turn it into a feature length film we will certainly include that backstory.

So I wanted to go to Cal Arts until I remembered I am poor and suck at art SO.

Maybe Full Sail.

PlushieClock

Christ, that's quite an achievement you have there, congrats!

I guess I'll consider you to be my muse, lol. I'll graduate high school this year and I'm interested in partaking a minor in a similar subject to yours, along with a few other minors such as music performance, and journalism. I really don't know how I would piece my college plan together with all those interests I'm really passionate in, especaially with my major in a veterinary field that requires vigorous and studious courses. Gah, I'm so derpy when it comes to this, lol.

The design and direction of your film was really very nice but I wish you'd done something other than a lonely-misfit-boy-meets-a-lonely-misfit-girl story. Next time you make a film I'd urge you to spend a bit more time working out the plot.

Good job anyway.

SpinningCubeClock

Congrats! But I have to agree with whoever it was that said towards the end the animation got a bit robotic. There was no easing on a lot of the movements so they looked pretty weird.

Also, DID YOU USE THE FONT "CHILLER" FOR THE TITLES?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT
hello

InkwellClock

Thanks dudes.
We were three guys doing the animation of the film, but one guy had to stop animating in order to do post-production on the backgrounds. So the two of us had to take over a lot of the animation he was supposed to have done. That's why the animation isn't super smooth in every shot.
We chose Chiller because we all kinda liked that font.

SpinningCubeClock

Never use a font that comes with your computer! (There are exceptions of course, but chiller is definitely not one of them...comic sans on the other hand)
hello

InkwellClock

I agree with you there and we did want to draw/write our own titlecard but it just didn't happen for some reason.
No offense but I've always considered comic sans to be just as horrible a font as papyrus really.

SirClock

Beautiful. Congratulations, I will probably be coming to you with some questions in the near future. I'll be starting my senior film next year. How long did you guys have to make this?

I'm glad you liked it dude. All you have to do is ask away.
We had about 7-8 months to make it. I wrote the original (very rough) script back in 2008 by the way. Long before we started working on our bachelor films.
