Stup fife: In theory, you should have created an amount of universes equal to the amount of different possibilities that text could be. You could induce unconsciousness, get someone else to do this, and kill you unless the text tells them to not do so. This would mean you would only wake up in universes where the text just so happened to tell the person to not kill you, which is like a zillion in one chance! What you could also do is go into a coma, and get someone to generate 6 numbers, or however many numbers are in your lottery. Instruct them to kill you unless the numbers win the lottery. Voilà! You will wake up in the only universe where you have won the lottery.

As you can see, unless you employ some quantum suicide, you are likely to get gibberish. I'd advise not doing this though, you should probably wait to see if the Large Hadron Collider confirms or denies the many worlds theory. Also I'd advise making sure the numbers you generate are actually quantumly generated. Finally I'd advise not doing this at all, even in the slim chance that every scientific theory behind it is 100% accurate and true, there's always the chance that something could go wrong and also everyone in this universe would observe you dying anyway.

This is the argument with certain implementation of teleportation devices, not quantum universes. According to the theory, every time you observe a a quantum event, your universe splits equally into as many different universes as there are possible outcomes of a quantum event. If you are not concious, therefore you are not observing the quantum event, then the waveform doesn't collapse and you specifically are technically in every universe at once, ala Schroedinger's cat.

As soon as you wake up and observe the event, or outcome of the event, then your consciousness is sort of divided into every possible universe you could be in, based on that quantum event. But you can control which outcomes you wake up in, by making sure it's impossible for you to observe the undesirable universes.

This is an outdated and inaccurate representation of the concept of observation as it relates to quantum mechanics. The instant that the number generator recorded the quantum event it would have been observed and the waveform would collapse. Consciousness is irrelevant when it comes to "observation" in this sense.

Oh well then I dunno. I'm basing everything I know about quantum physics on a book I read like a million years ago.
