Someone on reddit explained dual wielding to me, it's actually kind of complicated.

as mentioned in this post, increases attack speed should only be on your weapon as it only applies to the item it is found on and increased attack speed should be used on any item you can find it on as it will increase the attack speed of both of your weapons resulting in a large dps boost assuming you aren't also losing a significant amount of dex/str depending on your class.
+ wep damage on rings and amulets also applies to both of your weapons and can have a big impact on your dps while dual weilding. Again, + wep damage on your actual weapons or from rubys will still only apply to that weapon.
I am fairly certain that life steal only adds health based on the % of damage from the weapon it is found on as opposed to the total damage done.
Elemental effects are similarily limited to strikes made by the weapon that carries the effect.

Yeah so this game is pretty beast, I guess I can live without PVP.

IDK it felt that way for me on Diablo2 when I had crappy gear. Then again I never geared up any good non-caster characters. I played Sorc Necro and Hammerdin mostly.

The developer of the game admitted that you can't get good enough loot to beat the game on the harder difficulties by design so people are forced to use the auction house. Or, as he put it, they had to make drops worse or the game economy would be ruined by a flood of perfect gear.


That's why shit like this is necessary.

Well to be honest the trading system and economy of D2 were terrible, I think making a gold auction house is a good idea. I still think the $ auction house is pretty dirty though.

Spent 180K gold on some new weapons though. Didn't buy em on the AH, bought em off a guy I met in game.

AH isn't necessary if you can socialize and make deals in public games.

I hope Blizzard fixes the known issues with the Nvidia 9400M that are common in most intel-based macs.

Depending on your settings and resolution that's not surprising. The mobile version of the GT 9400 is rather old and weak. I'd bet it isn't a game issue with the card, rather that the card isn't strong enough.

Looking at the mac minimum requirements, the minimum video card is an Nvidia Geforce 8600m, which is actually stronger than the 9400m. In the nvidia 8000-9000 series, you can basically compare the cards specs by their last three digits. 8600 is essentially equivalent to the 9600, just as the 8400 would be close to the 9400.

Blizzard did state, however, that they will be working something out to give us shitty mac people some love:

I was not aware of that statement. I was just going by their minimum requirements which listed a slightly stronger card. That's good news for the mac users though.

Barter based game economies can be incredibly unpleasant to deal with. Especially if you just want to get a specific item quickly without a lot of hassle. See: tf2

The only reason why the auction house of diablo 3 is troublesome is because they let its implementation damage other parts of the game.

Diablo 2 was nothing but barter and people still played it. Yeah it's not always fun but it's just another part of the experience. It can be frustrating but rewarding at the same time.

I personally have had no trouble finding armor drops that cater towards my build. In fact, I just picked up some pants that gave me upgrades where I needed them the most. If the system is effected by the AH I haven't noticed it yet. I had some trouble finding some new weapons but it's not as if I don't EVER see weapons that are class specific to my monk.

I'm actually rather enjoying the AH in this game. Things don't always sell but when they do it's pretty rewarding. I'm not looking forward to the RMAH but I don't plan on using it anyway. I just hope the spam bots don't start flooding the games like D2.
