I can survive in hell no problem now, even solo hell diablo without needing to use the heal wells or pots...but inferno, holy shit.

The game is ONLY always online to facilitate the auction house. Thus, every error, problem, overful server, connection issue, and inability to log in due to server maintainance is a direct result of the auction house. It's also the reason that there is no LAN mode, why drops were intentionally lowered to be much worse than the previous two games, why Inferno was made unreasonably hard so you're forced to buy top tier gear, why they force you go go online for a single player game, why you're forced to have latency lag in a single player game, ect. Practically the whole game was designed around the auction house, all so that when the real money one launches they can make a killing by taking a percentage of every sale.

Actually they anticipate most trading to occur in the Gold AH. I mean gold is really easy to come by.

Doesn't the guest pass only go up to the skeleton king? I heard that the game is super stupidly easy until after the skeleton king. That doesn't really seem like a good way to get an accurate feel for the game. I'll still take one though.

Yeah it's stupid easy until late NM/Hell difficulty.

Last night a hell mob kept me and some guy busy for over 10 minutes. We kept having to dodge meteor, arcane, and desecration attacks while slowly draining the mobs health (the monster also had teleport so that didn't help anything). I wish I would've recorded it.

Huh? It's about as long as Diablo2 I'd say. If you're playing the acts over and over they shouldn't be too long.

Diablo is a series built around the "new game +" feature. If you're buying it to play through it and then stop, you bought it for the wrong reasons and yeah it will be short. Playing through all four difficulties with each of your characters is the entire point.

I think there's more to it than playing on every difficulty. Online play is pretty cool. Even though most of the groups I've got thrown into abandon you half way through an act. Queue times are extremely quick which surprised me, but I didn't pay a dime for it, so I'm not complaining at all.... thank god for the annual wow pass.

The game doesn't really begin until you hit the hardest difficulty, I only just managed to kill inferno skeleton king (with 5 valor stack to boot).
