He's trying to get some funds to make a well animated 10 minute short, staring George [see above] from Ren and Stimpy. I'm really hoping that he reaches his goal, it seems like forever since he last did something. Looking at his kickstarter, you can tell he has this planned and well thought out.

He hasn't made anything in a while because he's insane and can't manage resources so nobody wants to hire him.


Then again, a lot of his insanity has to do with his problem with authority, so maybe he'll do okay if he doesn't have to deal with an animation company.

Why would you give anyone money on kickstater? Especially John K? Guy is a huge asshole. There's a reason he isn't relevant anymore.

Who cares if hes a dick if he makes funny animations.

I wouldn't call john k an asshole because from what I've seen he's actually a pretty nice guy and is happy to give pointers to fans/aspiring animators. he's just really egotistical and unprofessional.

I was honestly expecting to this have been funded already because john k's fanbase is one of the most devoted cult of personality hugboxes on the internet. but I guess they just don't have that much disposable income all told. either that or there aren't nearly as many of them as it would appear.

he's been trying to get funding for george liquor for like 13 years. my guess is the concept is just not as funny as he thinks it is.

From what I watched and read on the Kickstarter page, it seems like it would be a pretty funny cartoon, and I'd chip in if i had any money. But being unemployed has the downside of barely if any disposable income.

..most of which goes towards Doritos and Loblaw's cola-like-drinkable-substance.

Ren and Stimpy was fantastic, before they gave john K the boot BECAUSE THIS IS JUST TOO DAMN VIOLET FOR CHILDREN HOLY SHIT FIRE THAT GUY.

afterwards though, it seemed like he just pushed whatever he worked on seemed to be more pushed towards being gross and controversial than a genuine cartoon. he didn't like that nick was constantly telling him what he couldn't do, and raised problems with deadlines and cutting back already approved scenes.

don't get me wrong, that guy's a fucking genius when it comes to animating characters, it's just a shame that no company wants to work with him. a kickstarter would remove all of that external pressure, and god damn it'd be fantastic to see this come to fruition.

I'm pretty sure John K. could just pitch a show to adult swim or something. I don't imagine it to be that hard to get a show on TV. After the adult Ren and Stimpy, I have mixed feeling on him. Those were fucking horrible.
