David Brevik was the creator of diablo 1 and 2. He had nothing but bad things to say about Diablo 3.

Wilson got pissed because he knew Brevik hit the nail on the head.

They can't let anyone fuck with D3 because it is their new cashcow that is supposed to take WoW's place.

Also, the mods on the /r/diablo subreddit are censoring and removing posts about these incidents.

That was virtually non existent in D2.

As I said earlier, aside from ubers and lilith (which were added years later) D2 had no end game other than the loot hunt which is precisely what D3 is right now.

and again, pvp is coming. ("hurr well we shouldn't have to wait" yeah well D2 took time before it became the game it is today. Does that make d2 bad?)

The facebook posts were pretty unprofessional, yeah. They shouldn't have posted like that even if they were pissed that the ex-diablo lead was basically doing an anti-d3 interview. That said, those were the most loaded questions I've ever seen in an interview, holy shit, that guy is a joke of an interviewer. He might as well have said "Diablo 3 sucks, why do you think that is? How would you have made it not suck? It totally sucks though, right?"

Regarding the article, I've been browsing other message boards including the diablo subreddit. There's absolutely zero evidence that Blizzard had anything at all to do with the article being removed. The Diablo devs weren't happy with the interview, but it looks like either the article was just removed or it was getting way too much traffic from the drama. By all means if Blizzard forced the takedown than blame them for it, but right now all the sheep are just going "IT DISAPPEARED! BLIZZARD DID IT!"

The article doesn't change my opinion of the game though.

I am actually pretty excited about this change, I was coming here to post it. Now there is further room to grow your character past 60, and since you also gain additional passive magic find and gold find along with the standard stat increases from leveling, there's even less reliance on the auction house with these changes. You'll be stronger so you wont need the absolute best gear money can buy any more, and finding good stuff will be easier. Pretty awesome. "The first Paragon level should take about as long as it took most players to get from level 59 to 60, and the experience requirement will rise from there. The time to reach the upper Paragon levels approximates the long-term time investment required to get a level 99 character in Diablo II." If getting the paragon levels after you get level 60 takes as long to level to 99 in D2, I'd say Diablo 3 has more than enough of an endgame now. Especially with all the other inferno-targeted changes I detailed in my other post last page.

Why else would it go down and no other articles? Everybody knows that gaming "journalists" are all in the pocket of publishers. There have been whistle blowers from IGN and other site that were fired or where threatened to be fired if they reviewed a popular game poorly. And I don't think it's a coincidence that games that buy advertising space always seem to get at least 9/10

I don't even know why I try to discuss games I like around here any more. If Valve or Nintendo didn't make it, not allowed to talk about it. It's not in the rules, but it might as well be.

This thread topic is Diablo 3, not Blizzard. Make a Blizzard bashing thread if you want to discuss that. I honestly don't care about the Blizzard drama in the least. Being that the topic is Diablo 3, I also don't care to hear everyone's laundry list of reasons they don't like it. How about let people who actually enjoy a game talk about it for a change. I'm getting a bit tired of just trying to do something like post changes in an upcoming patch and getting met with a bunch of "game still sucks" "dev still sucks" posts. We get it, you don't like the game.

When I was smod I tried to stop that crap from happening to threads, unfortunately it seems no one else is annoyed by it.

You just kinda gotta accept the opinions of others around here. Thor has been cynical about Diablo since it was announced. It shouldn't be surprising what his opinion on the subject is going to be. Subsequently, I have been against dark souls PC since its announcement.

It's not video games discussion on the internet without some form of trolling involved. It's childish but it can be entertaining at times. If it doesn't effect your opinion of the game then so be it. Expect the trolling and talk about the game with others who enjoy it regardless.

I'm still extremely excited about 1.04. I wasn't really all that interested in coming back to D3 anytime soon but all these changes seem like they're going to make the game even more enjoyable than it already was. Now if they'd just implement an open world questing feature it'd be perfect.
