I fucking agree, and 200 x 250 is also pretty small, it should be 250x250

Also yes we should increase the filesize limit and I'm not opposed to making them 250x250. That should just be a setting in the admin or ftp panel right? If there's some sort of auto-compression option activated we should turn that shit off too.

Yeah but we dont have to deal with huge server costs like they do, we dont have anywhere near that level of activity. And the cc has had stupidly huge avatars for years now it's practically a tradition.

I think the limit should be 100x900 so everyone is forced to make really tall avatars.

welp dangit i was kind of hoping a mod could force a >500kb <500kb gif into my avatar. like the good old days? what kind of show are we running here?? what the heck is the point of being a smod???

Avatar GIFs should not be bigger than 500kb. They shouldn't even be bigger than like 100kb. It's really annoying for a bunch of people.

But yeah, bigger avatars would be cool.

That changed when we upgraded to vb4. It doesnt work the same way anymore which makes me really sad.

Max dimensions are 200x250, but I think most of our themes will actually scale a 200x250 avatar down in the postbit. Max dimensions for not getting scaled down might be 180 px across.

you can now make 250 by 250 avatars with a 450 limit

this might not work with certain clockgroups(no probies,ectra) let me know if you have troubles uploading

e my 250x250 images are being automatically scaled down to 200x200 and losing transparency in the process
