Slurpee

PhantomCatClock

YOU WOULDN'T BE HERE IF SHE WAS

also I finally started playing Skyrim for the first time in my life. I'll be doing that for the next ten hours then going to bed, if you need me.

Slurpee

I tried replaying Skyrim and gave up because the opening cart ride is so boring

Slash

Yeah that shit's I'm a edgy teen, there's mods for that though.
I used to keep a save around which is done with all of that and if I wanted anew character I'd just use console commands on that save

PhantomCatClock

You know, my first time playing Half-Life 1 I died like three times and didn't save because it was like super early into the actual action and, even though I learned my lesson and DID get a couple hours into the game, I have TO THIS DAY still never beaten it because I was turned off by the tram ride in the beginning

Slurpee

EVERYBODY SHUT THE FUCK UP A NEW GORILLAZ TRACK JUST DROPPED

Slurpee

first impression: eh, it's pretty good

PhantomCatClock

Actually thinking back, my first death in Half-Life was because I was a couple years late to the party (some things never change) and at the end of the long ass train ride (which WAS impressive the first time) I had the lucid thought, "there's no way it'll allow me to jump off the edge of this train station platform into the abyss, there"

it did

BUT BACK TO THE NOW, here is my review on that new song: I am sleepy, will listen later.

RobClock

I think the last time I plate a half life game wa when black Mesa first dropped for free on steam, now ou really got me wanting to replay that series

I just started fallout new vgas not too long ago though and I've only played it for like 3 hours total so i should get going on that before I false start anything else

FLOUNDERMAN_CLOCK

I still haven't played half life 2. HL1 was pretty good I might as well at some point. On the subject of classic sci-fi FPS games I haven't played System Shock 2 either. I plan to soon though SS1 was fucking awesome.

Slurpee

I replayed ss2 around 200...7? when bioschlork came out. it was good but iirc the stat management can be pretty unforgiving. Alpha Protocol had a similar problem
Dues Ex, by way of a counter-example, lets you become the master of something really dumb, and there would generally be a reasonable way to progress using your dumb skill. (except swimming, swimming was mostly worthless)

Half Life 2 is good but most of my memories of it are being stuck at a depowered gate because I didn't realize I was supposed to follow the power lines to a plug that was unplugged
Also I somehow didn't realize the gravity gun was amazing until, like, WAY too late in the game, because I'm dumb

RobClock

Maybe is just because is been so long since I played it but I don't really classify he half life series with the classic fps of the 90s. It kinda feels like the first of the second wave of shooters ie. Linear progression based mostly on narrative set pieces as apposed to maze like level design and open feel of the doom style shooters of previous years.

Or maybe I'm just a tosser with nostalgia glasses for games with 2.5D sprites instead of ugly ass early 3d polygons

RobClock

Most of my memories of half life 2 are of being genuinely scared of ravenholm and that's probably very tellin of how old I was when I played it the first time

RobClock

Seventy three ninety Four?

More like seventy-three-ninety-BORE hahahahah

PhantomCatClock

We don't go to Ravenholdm

This is a full trilogy now, I believe

Then again, that store's ABOUT US page says they made their own furry convention.

It took a lot of prodding but I found the artist to the second one with the skull chewing a bone (but the first one with the possum isn't in her deviantArt). She runs the store and is apparently one of the most important furries alive.

Aardy, also known as HerrAardy and formerly known as Aardfox (born 1986), is an artist. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A, and is mated to Ghouly. She works at Bad Dragon as production manager.

Be proud of your shirt, Slurpee

oh dear. what a strange profile.

also, whatever you do, never search ''bad dragon'', they sell sex toys for furries. its... strange.
(but it seems like a very profitable idea, so i guess they got something good in that department.)

My dad bought a bunch of stuff, for a grand total of twenty bucks a year or so ago. As it turned out some weird tax wasn't added correctly so he paid about six cents too little, although that was unclear at first. So the company was like "You still haven't paid" and my dad was like "Fuck off, I did pay, here's proof" and they were like "Nuh uh" all the while the claim ballooned to about 1500 dollars.

One wonders a) how much those six cents ended up costing that company and its subsidiaries in man-hours, administration, travel expenses, court costs &c. &c. and b) how twisted & tangled and plain stupid the underlying bureaucratic system must be that allowed for this situation to escalate to such a hilarious degree, before the error was finally identified and rectified.

my only questions are:
1) why the hell they didnt check in their database for the error, in order to save both sides the hassle and the expenses that they racked up until the final resolution stage...
i mean, they didnt check their own error, and for 6 cents they spended (probably) hundreds/or thousands of dollars!
they are so stupid. bureaucracy sucks.

2) how the hell can 6 cents climb up to 1500 dollars? did they have an interest rate of 2500%? (or 6 cents X 1500)

3) what is the name of the company/site that did this hillarious blunder? im sure that they are awful.
i want to avoid them at all costs

I'll just go ahead and say it: I don't recognize any characters in the NG background right now and I'm kind of interested to know

Looking again, I guess I've seen the dog/demon/orc on the right when their cartoons were frontpaged

The flash "Pop tarts: extended cut" reminded me of pop-tart as well. Btw did he leave?

Captain Tardigrade is pretty good, I recommend watching it, if you haven't. He's semi cut off in BB10's screenshot in the top right.

RobClock

I don't think pop ever "left", life just kind of happened and his free time evaporated
