Your new alias is ZombieSlurpeeClock.  Care to light your pyre?  We still need to do 10 more days of your viking funeral.

PolyhedronClock

who told you about the secret undead forum

RobClock

i received good news and bad news today

bad news: im not eligible for the homeowners grant ive been waiting a year to apply for. had the stupid bitch who rushed me off the phone last time i called them just told me that in the first place i wouldn't have wasted the last year by not going to apply for a mortgage. which i will now have to do.

good news: November 2018 I went to speak to a doctor regarding a surgery i need. the following march i received the prerequisite exam, was told it was a 'worst case scenario', and was referred to another specialist who works in Halifax (6 hrs away). Six months passed, and i called the halifax doctor to follow up, and was told i could expect further information in 6-10 months. It's been nearly six months since then, so i called the office today on my lunch break to confirm the time frame... and got the voicemail. Some time following lunch the secretary called me back and left a voicemail saying I'm looking at a consultation appointment in April.

at this stage, i'm taking that as good news. however, since this new doctor is liable to want to do another exam himself prior to the procedure, i'm going to be very lucky if the surgery date ends up being this year.

Wait times over here are pretty bad too, most people are on the waiting list for at least a year, like my ma, she was getting a hand operation and she waited 2 years for that I think. The NHS over here is a mess, and I feel bad for any of the poor souls who work there.

people who demand socialized healthcare seldom realize that you're as likely to die in queue as you are to die because you couldnt afford a doctor

PhantomCatClock

you guys get a queue? i just have to never get sick again

I read "hand operation" as "hand transplantation" and I was like RAD!

All in all, it's preferable to die in queue rather than to die leaving your next of kin in debt, in an effort to extend your miserable existence by a few months, no? Or at least it's preferable not to have to make those kinds of decisions in already trying times?

Sidenote: I read that by 2040 a quarter of the workforce will have to be employed in healthcare in The Netherlands in order to maintain a basic level of service (which is impossible (barring fundamental medical advances), so strap in. Or stock up on euthanasia powder.

do what i did: stop reading

there's a second part to that saying, but I don't know how to spell ignorance

GreyClock

I forgot one closing bracket, now that sentence will run on into infinity.

dang, I'm pretty sure my nominee is Richard Chamberlain due to a clerical oversight last year, so somebody else would have to sponsor me

PhantomCatClock
