I dreamed I was pissing blood a couple months ago but then it turned out it was the ceiling leaking blood. I remember it being more annoying than horrifying within the dream.  Like the walls oozing blood is just a common home problem that's just complicated enough that you have to hire a guy for it instead of fixing it yourself.

unusually for august, there was a thunderstorm late last night, and I don't know if I've ever had a more pleasant time alone in the small hours
there's nothing more comforting to me than being cozied up indoors with the sound of giants stomping around the sky, rain pounding the rooftop and the metal awning outside, wind roaring through more trees than I realized this neighborhood had
until it set off some asshole's car alarm, anyway

woke up and it was, like, partly cloudly, thought it might have been a dream until I googled it
they say it might have been one of the most widespread and violent thunderstorms to hit the bay area in living memory, but the one during el niño with the rolling blackouts when I was a kid seemed much bigger. it was also one of the hottest nights of the year, and there was a strange scent in the air, drawing to mind tropical storms. coupled with 60 mph winds and lightning strikes starting spot fires around the whole region and I wonder if maybe God is trying to remind us of something we forgot

did you guys knows the Fantastic Four's powers were based on the classical elements?
The Thing and The Human Torch are obviously earth and fire, Mr. Fantastic's form is amorphous like water, and The Invisible Woman can turn invisible and throw force fields- like how the wind is invisible but can push stuff

the X-Files has two important scenes where somebody explains something wasn't the hanta virus

I know this because I was trying to remember which episode had the lady die of like a super sped up version of the hanta virus (it was X-Cops) and it turned out an outbreak of the hanta virus was used as a pretense to initiate a FEMA takeover in the first X-Files movie

idk it just seems like a weird thing to happen more than once, like Dr. House explaining that something is not lupus, or Kevin Nash tearing both quads

ps X-Cops was season 7 aka the mixed bag before the whole show went into the dumpster so you're doing yourself a disservice by even acknowledging it in terms of an overarching canon

then again season 10 and 11 pretty firmly established that Chris Carter regards anybody with an inclination to care about the show's mythology with the respect and decency the Japanese Imperial Army extended to the people of south-eastern China.

Just to clarify, yeah, I have absolutely no problem equating My Struggle parts I-IV to genocidal war crime

I don't think I watched any of the new seasons but naming anything My Struggle seems kind of
