"Would you like it if I started recommending episodes four and five on every video you watch from now on?"
"Would you like it if, when you go to the channel, For You recomments episodes one, three, four, five, seven, eleven, twelve, thirteen, and fourteen?"

was doing some spring cleaning and found a Bravest Warriors t-shirt. lol.

then suddenly remembered Bravest Warriors had a third and fourth season that nobody watched

a few years ago I watched a youtube retrospective about Cartoon Hangover in general and Bravest Warriors in specific, and even the youtube cartoon nerd that specifically set out to recap the history of Bravest Warriors could not be assed to actually watch the third and fourth seasons. just like for real absolutely nobody watched them

so I googled it and it turns out frederator got the rights back or whatever and they're actually in the process of uploading them to cartoon hangover. good news? they're already through the sensibly-lengthed season 3 and are 5 episodes into the absurd 52-episode season 4
these view counts are pretty dire :[
ten years ago seasons 1 and 2 were getting like 2-10 million views per episode, these are averaging like maybe 15k. not sure if (a) people are just way passed the point of caring and they've long since burned out all the residual goodwill they had left from that initial spark of excitement from the idea of youtube being a viable monetization route for animation studios to release tv-quality cartoons (r.i.p. ShiftyLook) or (B) if the show actually saw some corresponding drop in quality with the move to seeso or vrv or whatever that would justify the relative loss in interest, or ⓒ if most people have just straight up not heard about this and maybe didn't even know that Bravest Warriors had a third and fourth season (and probably mostly forgot it existed)

idk. do I want to revisit this? I feel like it was a good show but also like the moment has very definitely passed. it might actually be even sadder if the third and fourth season turned out to actually be really good.
they might have really blown a good thing with the move to (*googles*) vrv. like, this should have happened 9 years ago, and if it had, there might have still been a Bravest Warriors today

it was probably a very lucrative deal, probably paid a lot more than they were making on youtube (and that may in fact have been the goal all along, to use Cartoon Hangover as a kind of What a Cartoon Show testing/proving ground to sell cartoons to whoever was willing to pick them up) but that vrv money was all venture capital funds from the streaming bubble. vrv didn't have an audience so much as they were trying to buy one, and when it didn't work out that way all of Bravest Warriors' momentum bled out. before that, Bravest Warriors was shaping up to follow in Adventure Time's wake. sci-fi instead of fantasy and a teensy bit more adult, but spiritually very much in the same vein. but the move to vrv just about killed it dead

what to do when you have lower back pain:
- do these back stretches
- avoid stretching your back
- don't twist your back
- do these back rotation stretches
- avoid sitting or lying down for long periods
- avoid running, lifting weights, toe touches
- just walk slowly forever while breathing. be sure to bend sometimes, but remember, no bending

play mahjong with me

riichii mahjong

there is a website where you can do it easily, https://mahjongsoul.game.yo-star.com/ . It's a waifu collector gachapon but the game itself works and you don't need to spend any money

BUT THAT'S TOO EASY

install final fantasy 14, a 100 gigabyte game, then play the story up until level fifteen, move to the desert, and do the quests required to unlock the casino

do this, and then join me in sitting at the mahjong table for four hours waiting for two more people to show up

THAT's the right way to play

i think more movies should end with "hey surprise, the hero who inspired you to get so good at something actually sold his soul to the devil to get so good but you won it back before realizing what, entirely, was going on" because the list is far too small with just Crossroads

PhantomCatClock

am i local enough to invest in this book
