Im playing Fable currently, as a mage.

I think they made it too hard to play using mostly magic or bow. I spend most of the time running around with slow time, shooting fireballs over and over.

Did anyone else hear there are going to be guns in Fable 2? I wonder how they will balance that with bows. I wouldn't want to use a muzzle loading piece of crap that takes 5 minutes to load and fire.

Asslong as i can run around with a giant hammer im happy.  Also being a mage is easy, just use psysical shield. That way your combat multiplyer will be going up like crazy.

Yeah, I really love Fable. I loved the first one and I regret selling my xbox and now I can't play Fable I can't wait for the 2nd one, looks amazing, as usual. Lionhead is an amazing company.

That reminds me of another thing. I wish they balanced the weapons better. I always wanted to use an axe or a great axe, but it always bugged me that they were not the strongest you could get.

The Murren GreatAxe is pretty good.. not as good as the Murren Greathammer though which i usually use. Sure some greatswords are stonger, but nothing says fuck off like a giant hammer.

Fable is a really amazing game the first few times you play it. One thing I didn't like though was that going through the game evil was exactly the same as going through it good, apart from getting to kill a few extra people. I still played through it 4 times though.

In Fable 2 I hope there's actually a distinct good path and evil path. And more evil civilians and stuff so that being evil doesn't completely restrict you from so much.

i agree, when you're evil stuff's going to cost a lot more too, except in twinblades camp i believe, i'm not sure

When you're evil you just kill people and steal stuff. And you have a shitload of money anyways cause you killed wisper.

Yeah, true enough I guess. Those forums were grand fun in the Fable days, people were intelligent back then, but now it's only Baystone who's worth paying attention to. What information they have is easy enough to find elsewhere without having to suffer mindless babble.

Seriously though, i know the location of every silver key, every chest, every weapon, can unlock all demon doors and most of the time all my stats are maxed before i even enter the arena. So yeah im very exited about Fable 2.

Also id like to say the voice of Jack of Blades is way cooler in the original then in TLC..  I have both.

The first 2 times I played through it, the only evil things I did were kill Whisper because that gives you shit loads of money, and kill the guildmaster because that's the funniest cutscene in the whole game. I never bought potions, I just bought around 500 apple pies at Twinblade's camp and those would last me the entire game.

This thread makes me want to play through it again but I know I'll get bored before I even become an adult.

....dammit, I better get my vga cord back soon so I can play this game again.  and beat overlord also, while i'm at it.  overlord is somewhat similar experience to this game, actually, albeit with less you can do (but a lot more evil crap you can do).

You don't HAVE to use a dog as a pet, do you? I would rather have some other animal, or none at all.

Get your facts straight, lad! They've announced nothing multiplayer-related although it's been hinted at a tiny little bit and there aren't multiple breeds of dog, your dog just changes and morphs as it grows to become your own dog, which will look different to other people's.

What other animal would you want? There aren't really any that can do all the sorts of things dogs do and wouldn't look ridiculous following you around.  The dog is there to be something for people to get attached to and because humans naturally understand dogs most of the time, it's a pretty smart option. I'd personally rather have a cat than a dog but if they did that and used it in the same way I'd spend the whole time wondering why my cat was helping me find treasure and fight bad guys instead of sitting around washing itself.

P.S. You can abandon the dog when it's wounded if you like but if you do then you're a pretty heartless guy! You could leave it at your house I suppose, that would be the less heartless option but I bet that when you actually get the dog in the game you'll get attached to it very quickly and won't want to part with it.
