I appreciate that the tree rape scene has been updated.

I'm not impressed with how the demons look. The demon-possessed looked terrifying in the original and that was on a shitty budget.

You'd think with a bigger budget and special effects today you could make them even more deformed and be even more creative with their appearances. Instead they've just got slightly scary eyes and some scars.

I'll reserve judgement for after I've seen it but so far I'm pessimistic.

I feel that Evil Dead was really scary because of how effectively unnerving it was. This trailer in absolutely no way makes me think that it will be like that. Looks like they're going for the 'gross the audience' approach.


However Bruce Campbell is quoted as saying "The remake's gonna kick ass ââ,¬â€œ you have my word"- so who am I to doubt?

Oh snap, the trailer looks coo'. I wasn't excited for this movie until I saw a Bruce Campbell interview about it just recently

answered some questions and cleared away some of the reasons I thought it would be bad, but I'm a little disappointed it won't be funny. Hope they reboot the sequels
