Rather than being a cover album its supposed to be the soundtrack to a hypothetical sequel to Mother 2/Earthbound. Its pretty good, and toby radiation fox from homestuck did a few tracks for it.

not bad but I prefer the music from the actual sequel to earthbound

Mother 3 had the best music in the series IMO. Its one of those series that starts out brilliant and then somehow gets progressively better with each sequel in every aspect.

both earthbound and mother 3 impressed me with how much story and feeling they could squeeze out of cartoony 16-bit sprites
