So I'm officially a part of the lamest way people have ever tried to raise money for charity. I'm playing video games for a long time on Saturday and streaming it with some other folks.

This is the team I am working with, a group of folks I know and hang out with on occasion. If you guys want to make a donation, anything is appreciated, just donate it to my name hererererererererererere so that it registers as my having gotten some of dat charity money.

On Saturday I'll be spending some time with those friends and playing video games with them and shouting at the screen. I intend to drink alcohol consistently through the whole event, as well as stuffing my face with as much food as I can.  If on Saturday you're bored and decide, "Hey, I want to see Topcatyo and some other schmucks, and then eventually just Topcatyo, played video games and get drunk", then check out the stream on Saturday. Or don't. I would prefer it if you didn't and just donated the money.

Money you raise goes directly to a local hospital of my choice (local so far as they are part of the something something children's hospital network).
As for the hospital specifically? I forget. Picked by the team leader, who is not me. The website refuses to tell me which hospital it is.

I think we'd be more inclined to donate if you were doing something challenging, like: running a marathon, setting yourself on fire, or stuffing an enormous cucumber up ur butt. I mean, getting drunk and playing video games; isn't that what you do on a typical Saturday anyhow?

I think it's dumb too. I dont' think we're gonna raise any money. Apparently the team has raised $130 and I'm about to throw in $50, and apparently the event has raised $3.5 million so far, so if I can help contribute to that and give some childrens' hospitals some money without doing anything and having an excuse to call off work on Saturday for once, I'm not going to complain. It wasn't my idea anyways, it was my friend Steve, who's trying to get into that gaming market or whatevs

But I have no idea how this raises money. Apparently there are famous Twitch.tv channels? What the fuck is this world we live in.

Anyways I'm on from 12AM to 2AM and I'm going to be playing Star Trek Online because I have no idea what that game is about but it's free. Also I'm going to be with the group of people from 4PM-7PM. Clock Standard Time. Eastern Standard Time.
