I love Zappa.  Great composer and whatnot.

He's great. It's rare that I like every track on an album, but when he's good, he's very very good. Really, the worst thing you could say about him is that he's not very sincere, especially with his singing style. It's odd that he was so capable of making songs with such potentially mainstream appeal, only he liked to write lyrics about naughty subjects.

In my small town there is an annual Zappa festival called St. Alphonso's Pancake Breakfast. It has been around since 1978, and the 30th is coming up soon. There is free beer and pot-laced pancakes for all. Zappa was next to god, if you're ever in the south-eastern Ohio area around the beginning of April, the more the merrier!
