Friend is having trouble installing Flash

A friend of mine got Flash recently and has been trying to install it, but he's can't get it to install.
He's been getting the following error message.



Then, when he tried correcting the above problem, he gets this message.



Can anyone give my friend a hand?

Something seems wrong with his computer's InstallShield.

According to Adobe's knowledge base for Dreamweaver 8 users experiencing the same ISScript problem, it could be an outdated InstallShield engine and Adobe software might not be able to detect it properly.

Not too sure though since I installed Flash 8 just fine back then.
