That was a major reason for me. Especially because he went back and wen over the origonal black and white ink with watercolor, and it often looks too muddy. I think V for vendetta should look more stark or something.

the impression I get is that it's a good movie, but a horrible adaptation of the source material
alan moore felt that the filmmakers pigeonholed the political commentary into an exclusively american realm, and that the timelessness and ubiquitous quality present in the comic was missing. they removed themes of racial purity, neutered the themes of fascism, and failed to maintain moral ambiguity.
