I haven't heard anything about this, but I am already considering going to see it. If it did end up sucking I wouldn't be too pissed because I'm not a huge fanboy. Apparently Leonard Nimoy is playing "Old Spock".

I kinda got that your not a fanboy from the fact that this movie was anounched 2 years ago and there have been trailers for 6 months.

As a middle-of-the-road casual Star Trek fan, I've very much looking forward to it. I think the cast is good, and the trailers looked pretty sweet.

The ship looks way too high-tech to be the Enterprise 1701-A in my oppinion.

Yeah, but they had to update it for a new audience. I don't think they should constrain themselves because the original show had a terrible budget and no technology.

Maybe at the end of the movie the ship gets destroyed, and it's like their prototype, and all of their blueprints and stuff are in the cargo bay and it costs so much to replace that they just pull some shit out of a hangar and throw it in space?

I'm still gonna go see it though, mostly because i'm a huge nerd and i always loved the 1701-A, the Constitution class starships are the sleekest looking in Starfleet.

As for the Star Trek MMO, I still don't know which race to choose though
so it'll probably Vulcan, and more than likely Female, i only ever play female characters in MMO's.

Yeah, I'll probably see it.
I wasn't an avid fan of Star Trek but if the original series was on TV I'd watch and enjoy its campiness.
The other Star Treks I don't enjoy as much.
