There was a show on a few months ago about life in the city if all human life was wiped out/destroyed. It was very neat, it walked us through life up to 10000 years after human life. If I remember correctly they estimated that cats would benifit quite a bit to the point of evolving to be able to glide between buildings.

I too saw this, i was fascinated by the way that all trace of our civilisation i.e buildings, and statues were gone within the first thousand years or so.

first off, pripyat is in ukraine, and the chernobyl incident all happened in ukraine. close to the russian border, yes, but in ukraine.

and in case you hadn't noticed, the majority of russia is in asia

so there are plenty, pleny of asians in russia

Well, technically at the time it was all the U.S.S.R., and by extension most people thought of it synonymously with russia, so it's understandable if you think about it.
