this right here is how he should have been, a jedi slaughtering monster without the force. a batman among bad guys.

FLOUNDERMAN_CLOCK

It made me really mad that he was such a pushover in the actual movies. He was so badass in the cartoon.

I Iiked how There is an  entire documentary how everyone hated the prequels.

Quote from: RibsClock;1882530Some of the vehicles were really cool[/B]. The dropships and tanks and droids and the like were excellent...but here's the thing, they failed terribly when it came to portraying this stuff as, well...earlier than the other movies. If you portray a movie twenty or so years in the past, you don't make the technology better.

This bothered me a lot too.

I always thought this was weird (and stupid) too.  One can argue that with Darth Vader in power the quality of life in the universe has gone down considerably, but even then it's a stretch.

Also the fact that they made the robes Obi-Wan wore in the original trilogy into the official "Jedi regalia" proves how much George Lucas doesn't know about his own universe.  Everybody on Tatooine wore the same robes, they wore similar robes because it was a desert plant and they're good clothes for keeping the sand out of your... clothes.

Now they're the official clothes that Jedi had to wear.  Way to make the Jedi look stupid, George.  Those robes looked dumb.

I agree with a lot of this.

I'm going to go ahead and add

*The final scene of Revenge of the Sith with the binary sunset on tatooine
*Clone Army reveal was cool
*Christopher Lee as Count Dooku
*Christopher Lee's light sabre
*Jedi Starfighters
*Jedi Starfighter and Slave 1 chase (those seismic charges in the theater sounded amazing, i'll never forget how I literally jumped out of my seat in surprise.)

In general the cinematography of the prequels are really bad too, but there are a couple shots here and there that are well-done.

George Lucas didn't sell his soul. It was eaten by Gonk.

Thor

Quote from: clammo;1882598here let me expand that and name everything i liked about all the star wars movies combined:

Gonks are pretty fucking crazy. They have fusions generators inside them. If one of those things blew up they could take out a city
Quote from: MafiaMettaurWhat the hell is with that shit you posted? You know what, I'm joining the Locks, just to stop stuff like you!
Quote from: polyhedronclockYou're a fucking clock, what else do you have?
To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

Thor

they're especially threatening because you never know when they're mad

All of the star wars movies were ridiculous and badly written. People only like the originals for nostalgia. The nostalgia goggles cloud all.

Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

VuBawlsClock

I enjoyed Episode III (although it did feel drawn out). I haven't seen the other 2

I still watch them sometimes just to feel smarter.

I watched Episodes IV and V (or, as I consider them, I and II) and I still think they hold up.  I'm not talking about the George Lucas fucked-it-up-again versions either, these were on VHS as they appeared in theaters.
