BUMP. Game comes out in exactly one month. Windows live has, sadly, been confirmed. It's retailing for only $40 though, so that's cool.

Pretty disapointing, but it was worth the $60 on consoles with these exact same limitations, so it's definately worth $40 on PC with the extra content and the improved framerate in the swamp. Nothing on the PC version is worse than what's on the console version.

So, the 3 Knights of Gwyn that didn't appear in Dark Souls are going to be appearing as bosses in this game, which takes place in the past. I assume there will be a time portal of some kind used to access the area that game takes place in.

You may remember references to the 4 knights on the four animal rings. The Leo ring, representing Ornstein (who appeared in the Dark Souls), the Wolf Ring representing Artorias of the Abyss (who's pet wolf appeared in Dark Souls as a boss), the Hawk ring representing Hawkeye Gough (who is apparently a giant archer, perhaps a relative of the giant blacksmith), and the hornet ring representing Ciaran (who in trailers appears to be a large fellow wielding two daggers). It's kind of interesting how the knight represent the four classic warrior archtypes from RPGs. I was also kind of curious about those guys since there was very little information given about them originally and it was a pretty interesting bit of lore. Maybe they intended this DLC from the beginning.


ALSO: Game comes out next week. Get pumped.

Somebody on neogaf made a mod that fixes the resolution scaling already. Even though the game isn't even out yet. Well, I mean, it's not LEGALLY out yet anyway.

It's my understanding that the actual physics engine works at the speed of the frame rate so it's not possible to change the frame rate. If you change it to 60 for example it would make everything go too fast like a tape on fast forward.


That's what I heard, anyway. I don't know if it's true.

I beat every boss in the DLC and got every new item, with the exception of the soul upgrade items


The DLC is really long and well made.

I'm working on beating the game at level 1.

I already beat Quelaag and I'm on my way to kill Sif.

I already beat the game with a level 1 on the PS3, but it should be much more difficult on the PC version because they nerfed a lot of the overpowered stuff and glitches I used on the PC version to pull it off.

new mod increases the games FPS.

It now can run at 60 FPS, and it works online. I honestly didn't think it was possible.

Keep in mind though that intentionally getting into a game with somebody is a pain in the ass in this game. It will probably take us like half an hour to get into the same game as each other the first time.

The way the server system works though, once we're on the same server we'll be able to easily find each other after that
