the only reason to change your combat style isn't enemy variance (there is one enemy and it is a dumb puppet. don't try to act like there is anything in the game other than that shitty puppet enemy that they copy and pasted a billiob times) it's the game pretending to judge whether what you're doing is "cool" or not when really there's just a handful of prescribed "cool" things that you can do. the game has absolutely no business judging what is cool. the game is shitty, looks like shit, plays like shit, is shit. crazy taxi was a better judge of coolness. animal crossing was a better judge of coolness. it was just a stupid gimmick to trick fucker idiots into avoiding the optimal combat strategy. strip it away and it's exactly like any other third person hack n slash with mediocre balance and bullshit anime physics. if you fell for it congratulations you suck ass and do not deserve fun videogames.

Focusing on the hair/coolness is a strawman argument.

The real problem with DmC is that there are less weapons, the style system is ruined, and they removed some of the best features of the series, like Styles.


DmC is still better than DMC1 and 2 though. People are just upset that it's worse than 3 and 4.
