Next event?

Big shout out to everyone who made something for the flood this year. Whether you made one movie or forty (holy fuck Zabz, are you insane?) you have proven that the love and spirit in this community are still alive and strong going into its 12th year.

We'll take it down a notch in March (unless you're Zabba.. again, insane?) and maybe try to organize one official event. Post your ideas, thoughts, feedback, casserole recipes here.

My two cents:

Cat Day has been held on March 13th for the last least 3 years. I've always enjoyed the event but is this something you'd be interested in participating in?

Saint Patty's Day is always fun. Do we want to plan something specific around the holiday?

Easter lands on the last of the month. Anyone want to take point on a collab?

Patty's sounds neat. I was wondering, just as like a default day if nothing else is going on or you don't want to join a collab, about just a general spam day. I've seen a lot of "WOW OMGFG THE CLOKC CREW I SBACK" comments this month. Maybe have the fifth of every month be like a one-day flood? 5:05, all that, just to be a sort of "yeah yeah not dead yet shut up and wait for this month's event"

Another thing I wanted to do one day as an individual (but would work as a collab) is make a movie that the Newgrounds' populace would traditionally vote high on... a movie or game parody... anime based with lots of exagerated voice acting... most of the animation focused on lip syncing and little else..

At the same time make the exact same movie with clock characters.. with a smidge lot less quality and a few extra poop jokes..

We submit the first movie. After we secure the sure fire daily award... we replace the swf with the clock swf. And laugh.

Pretty sure you can update it all you want. I've replaced the swf's on three year old animations to improve the sound quality.

After a certain view count.. there may be moderator approval needed (used to be.) We just need to confirm what that number is and orchestrate the scheme accordingly.

There is an actual rule against that, I believe... at least, the user moderators like to pretend there is if there isn't.
