I'm leaving NG

This thought slowly started creeping into my mind during the Flash Flood in February. It just wasn't as fun submitting content to NG as it used to be. That's why I only made 5 entries. I simply lost my enthusiasm.
After submitting Pancakes a short while ago and not really taking any pleasure in doing so I've finally decided that the time has come to stop submitting my movies to NG.
It just doesn't feel rewarding anymore.

You guys have been a constant source of inspiration and motivation over the years and I thank you for all of your kind words and encouragement, but NG just sucks too hard.

You're still an artist even if you don't want to make mudpie sculptures in the playground. Go ahead and leave NG, but you don't have to leave us your stuff is supagood, and you'll excel in whatever medium you choose after Flash. Just, you know, excel where I can see it

Thank you for your kind words Phantom. I'm not planning on leaving the CC, I just wont submit stuff to NG anymore.
I'll probably keep doing animation, since it's such a big part of my life. Right now I'm mostly focused on drawing and writing though as I'm working on a graphic novel. It's the biggest project I've ever embarked on and it's going to take atleast 6 months till it's complete...

also, don't leave NG! where will i watch your flash? your art is great, and you are one of the best flash animator in newgrounds,a nd i really like your work, it's like japanese manga, but with western style. the animation is so fluid, and the charcaters you always choose in your movies (the human ones) are always so surreal, and unique).
as for the clock characters, tehy are walys so fluid and well-animated, that it looks so good!

the only reason im asking you to not leave NG is:
WHERE WILL I WATCH YOUR FLASH IF YOU LEAVE?

man, dont do it. and dont quit the clock crew, as well...

Thanks BB10. Well I've only finished drawing the first 2 chapters so far so there isn't a whole lot of stuff to show just yet. But it's going to have a lot of action and weird characters in it, that's for sure.

I'm glad you like my animation style. I basically chose to draw my characters like that so I can get a lot of work done in less time when I animate.
I was thinking of submitting my movies to Youtube, Vimeo and that kinda places instead of NG.
I've also made one of them tumblr-thingies and I've started showcasing some of my drawings there. When I figure out how to convert my flashes into proper video-files I might start putting them on there as well.

I'm not planning on leaving the Clock Crew any time soon btw.

Same thing happened to me. After PTSquirrel day I saw all of the flashes being taken down except for mine, pops etc. I felt like new grounds has changed because before they didn't take down the ki1o flashes and he did the exact same thing PT did. That's just fuckin unbelievable.

newgrounds is quite shitty, there are so many other places to submit your work at and get better feedback, i only started going there in 07, but in that amount of time i could already see it go from a place that was fun for me to a shit hole full of shit.

Totally understand your rationale. Can't say i really consider youtube a better creative outlet than NG, but it makes sense to check out the big ones.
