Oh boy, it's that time of year again.

Use this thread for any discussions regarding surprises (and hopefully there will be some this year), press conferences, and anything that may inevitably disappoint you.

For example, despite E3 not officially starting until next week, Konami and Kojima have already disappointed many Metal Gear fans by announcing Kiefer Sutherland as the new voice for Snake in the upcoming MGSV. There's also speculation that Snake's original VA, David Hayter, will make some sort of cameo although again, this is just speculation.

Also, for those who don't know, Nintendo is gonna be MIA this year. They've bought floor space but no fancy keynote address like years past. They are expected to release a few Nintendo Directs over the course of the week and Smash Bros is rumored to finally be revealed.

I wish Rare could redeem themselves with a Killer Instinct game but I highly doubt it. It would probably become a party fighter, only worse than Smash and Playstation Allstars

Rare has either fired everyone who worked there during the time they made good games or they've left on their own. I'm not looking forward to a new Banjo Kazooie game and I'm fed up with Halo. As for the Keifer Sutherland voice thingy, I'm fine. It's not Snake, it's Big Boss now. I would have preferred Richard Doyle coming back again, or maybe even Liam Neeson if they needed a Hollywood guy, but I'm not going to freak out until I know what's what. Kojima is a dick when it comes to surprises.

Final Fantasy 15, holy shit. That is just surreal to me, even more so than 13/14, but this is probably because those games were such a mess.

I played Fable III with a friend.

It was a pretty decent game and if you were a fan of the series it was worth playing... UNTIL we both stumbled upon two gamebreaking bugs that apparently had been known for over 8 fucking months on the Xbox version (and still not fixed) and we were playing on PC.

So in all I can't recommend it to anyone because those bugs ruined the entire experience. As in corrupting both our saves and characters as well as our progress.



So am I hyped for Fable IV?

EDIT: Also Halo ended for me at Halo III. Digging up masterchiefs corpse to rape it for money after he has already finished the fight is just silly. I've played Halo IV and sure it was nice but it's not the Halo of yore.

Yeah pretty much all Lionhead games have horrible game-breaking bugs and are pretty bad with updating. It's not a great reputation to have.

There are ~rUmOrS~ circulating that Microshaft is throwing around huge sacks of money at developers to only talk about/show the xbone versions of their multiplats and simply not talk about the ps4 versions, in a mission to make it appear like the xboner has games

I'm not too mad about the change for Snake (Big Boss really)'s voice. I mean they chose a good enough voice actor to play a role for a Metal Gear game for a modern audience.

And audience that expects hipness. Snake has to be radical.

Newest hot rumors off the web:
-Micro$oft has hired several PR companies to post positively about the xbox on various video game web forums. I've only heard of it happening a lot on Reddit and Neogaf but I'm sure it's happening on all the popular sites.
-Playstation 4 can use keyboard and mouse! Sweat meat! I hope some games actually allow it though. I think the PS3 could do that too but almost no games actually supported it.
-Playstation 4 at this point looks like it will not have any sort of used game DRM like the xboner



I'm really curious what kind of damage control they'll be able to roll out at E3 to make up for the disasterious start of xbox. Sony basically just needs to coast by with a couple good exclusives and multiplats to win E3 this year.

Nintendo is going to have Super Smash Brothers Universe trailers though, so they might still steal the show.
