He used to use the trace bitmap function in flash and set the straighten up to an 11, and people thought he actually drew his backgrounds.  At least now he's using them as is and not taking the credit of drawing them.

He found his audience, he knows what they like, so he ain't gonna change.  Some people want to evolve, others want to stick with what they know will do well.  Nothing you can do about it except create create, and if the anger motivates you, more power to you.
