I have 2008 Scion XB. I bought it new for about $14,000.
My first car was a 1984 Toyota pickup truck that my grandfather gave me when they revoked his license (sorry no pic of that one).

2010 suzuki sx4 sedan, sticker price was $12,000 plus taxes and all that other crap came to about 15gs

I have a 2001 Saturn L200. I paid $3600 +tax/tags for it just last month. There's only 85k on it and it's in fantastic condition.

I've got a 2 door 2004 VW Golf.

2007 Mazda 3 that I've been painting matte black in my spare time. Cost 6000$ 2 years ago, bought it with only 90,000KM on it. It's got 200,000KM on it now.

My first car was a 2001 Audi A4 Quattro, which I got as a gift.
I miss my Audi. Cracked the block on the highway at 280,000km.

Why is this a bad thing?
Background: Friend of mine has one in splendid condition for € 2000,-
I've driven it last year and it was a blast, plus it's a convertibe which is awesome.
I just don't see myself driving a lame familiy car anywhere soon.
