somebody tried to get a rise out of him when he popped his head in a few years ago by asking as much and he just said something to the effect of it was representative of a time in his life that meant a lot to him and that he had no regrets immortalizing

What happened was, after he made Shit Creek, he hasn't been the same. There may be a connection between the Clock Crew and PTSD. Correlation does not necessarily imply causation, but in this case, we can make a pretty good educated guess.

Hardly anyone really plans to leave, they just get bored with it and become less and less active until they just stop showing up. I don't think the lack of direction is a real problem anymore, we have a better percentage of competant Flash artists these days than we did during the glory days. I like the quality over quantity thing you guys have going on here but we still need a higher quantity.
