What's the Clock Crew doing now? (Serious thread)

I'm 28 and currently "working" on my master's thesis in art history.* I'm living in a student apartment, watching my savings evaporate. No income, so I should be looking for a job, but I'm procrastinating. The reality of my impending bankruptcy might not have fully sunken in yet. I find it better to just ignore everything and lie on the couch and get drunk. I've stretched this student thing as far as I could to avoid having to deal with the awful realities of adult life, and now it's about to break. A situation like this would perhaps worry or frighten a lesser man, but fortunately I don't seem to care all that much and am currently mildly enjoying my lethargy.

*Reading the occasional book.

This is the first post I've made on here in seven years, I think. Maybe eight. I don't remember my old account name nor my password, so here I am. All the cringe worthy things I used to say on here burned itself into my brain. Since I rage quit from this place, I graduated high school, I graduated from university and found my first job. I write visual novels for a publisher called Winged Cloud.

I doubt anyone here actually remembers me. I never really contributed any amazing flash or achieved any of note but it was still kind of fun to talk to all of you, despite all the bullshit that happened. Now that I'm here and this place is on its last legs, I'm not even really sure how to feel about it. Back when I was a shitposting 15 year old, I really rubbed people the wrong way, mostly because I didn't know what a joke was even if it hit me in my face and made me lose several teeth.  However, I can't just forget how much I loved all of the Clock Crew's animations. Did that lazy shit BlueClock ever make The Void Part III?

So, I guess what I wanted to say is it's a shame to see what's become of the Clock Crew. I don't know what you're all doing now, but if all of the amazing art and animation I've seen on here is any indication, I'm sure you're all doing just fine. You're all going to make it, alright?

I'm 28. I joined when I was 14, I think. I play, stream, commentate on and write about video games unprofessionally. I had my first gig at PAX Prime this year where I interviewed indie developers live on Twitch. Now that I have my foot in the door, I'm trying to pursue a career in games journalism or eSports commentating while I do whatever pays the bills. But, mainly, I drink too much, and should never have lived this long. Looking back on things, I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing now without the Clock Crew. Doing CC Radio helped me learn to be comfortable with my own voice. Making horrible animations in Flash got me comfortable with other editing software I'm using nowadays. Making awful Photoshop stupidity made it so I do all my own graphics work. But, most importantly, I think that the CC gave me a sense of community, and has helped me learn to help others. Whether it's with something creative, or somebody just needs to vent, or a shoulder to cry on. It's helped give me a reason to not off myself.

no. we actually tried to revive it, but hackers hacked out database/site, and we lost all of the scripts/ideas/plans for it.
its sad, because slurpee and koala clock were actually ready to do this (myself included).

Well, they're visual novels. I'm not really sure if they can be called 'books'. My employer pays me well and I write stories about cute girls doing cute things. I could definitely be doing worse for myself. What about you? How have the last eight years been for you, Billiard?

Awww, I'm so sorry to hear that man. The Void was one of my favourite clock crew animations, but now it'll never be finished. Still, the fact that you were willing to take on such a project... Just how good have you gotten at flash animation after all this time? (I pretty much stopped using it after I left, so I never got any better.)

either way, it sounds very cool!

as for me, in the last 8 years i studied PC software stuff, i used many programs, i worked at various jobs, and i uhh did flash movies on my free time. also i took part in many CC collabs, and i even won an award this clockday! (for my crappy movie)...
but anyways, flash works are really fun, and i enjoy making them.

yes, the Void is one of my personal favorites as well...
perhaps we could revive it, if many people bug/persuade slurpee and koala-clock enough...

as for my animation ''skills', im alot better than what i used to be in 2010-2011, but i still relatively suck at flash movies.

Joined the Clockcrew in 2002. Flash encouraged me to follow and further explore my artistic dreams that I had since childhood. It opened up the world of Web Design and Development when I was around 16, and now 10 years later it is what I do for work full time. Still doing photography on the side and weekends.

I'm trying to get back started with Flash Animations and music. I feel like I've explored Web and Photography enough, and I need something challenging once again, something I haven't done before, or haven't in a long time.

As for my life, all I do is work. I'm off Tuesdays and Fridays... but Friday is spent helping family out with shit so that leaves me with one day to get my own shit done. It's usually the only day my ladyfriend and I have time for each other so I gotta fit her in too.

In other news, my transmission went on my car yesterday that I only have 2 payments left on and I'm convinced it's a conspiracy. Just had it towed to shop and am awaiting the diagnosis. I only have a grand in the bank so if it's more than that... FML.

darn, this sounds bad.
but i agree with slurpee, you dont need cable TV if its too expensive...
better start with very few furniture items, just buy the basics,(a bed, couple cheap chairs and a table), and prolly buy cheap internet(or steal from your neighbor's wifi connection.)

i suggest you to either: 1)do a big flash movie about the clockcrew, 2)do a photo exhibition/project about clocks+random objects combined together, or 3)do something cool, with a few hints about the CC here and there.

also, what is your cars brand?

if i can suggest anything, always buy a toyota. they have excellent mileage, they are sturdy, they rarely need maintainance, and they last for a looong time.

So it was just an axle.. $250 parts and labor and I already got the car back. So that's good.
