μPortal - the modern newgrounds alternative

What are you offering Newgrounds, vimeo, or youtube doesn't?

I'm offering an alternative to newgrounds, during the alpha i only have "embed by links", hopefully, i'll make a decent legacy flash upload feature, as for videos, there's a plan to extentend this functionality to dailymotion as well (or make a restricted video upload possible (mp4)). More feedback needed to decide on this.
tl;dr: right now it has - legacy newgrounds flash support and yt videos support

I'm refering to overall mobile friendliness, there are solutions on playing flash on mobiles btw, i'll have to make a message on mobile view about that

I have flash on my phone's browser... but NG has a script which tells mobile users their device isn't compatible (despite the fact it is) when trying to view a flash submission. I can view things I upload to NG dump just fine... so it's just some pointless decision they made to alienate the users that still favor the medium that made them what they are.

I have some flash submissions, you can try to watch them. Still, you can always convert your flash and upload converted video (there's also handy tool called swivel). I can also Experiment

The whole appeal of flash is that you can make your creation interactive. Converting to another format forfeits that.

html5 or just don't even bother

Well, it is made on html5 (view-wise),except for flash movies,

For intercative flashes i recommend:
Installing shumway on firefox (yes there's also swiffy, but there's file size limitations, plus it messes up the fonts and sounds (no sound at all))
Re-export you movie through latest flash's html5 export
You can try Unity as well

For regular flash movies:
Use the converter
Use swivel
Export to video while in flash (CS3+)
As for mobile - use shumway for ff or puffin browser

I would also recommend to check out edge animate

Please don't let people upload flash files, flash is a terrible, buggy, security nightmare of a product. The sooner it dies the better for everyone.

Well, that depends if people would not like to convert their swf's to videos, i guess, i'll have to stick with this option for a bit, otherwise you are always welcome to convert your swf's to videos.
