I recently re-acquired Flash and I'm making one.  It is not going to be another Drive Drive installment either, it will actually be good-ish.

I felt the need to post this since it's been years since I've released anything.

It might take me some time because I'm becoming reacquainted with the tools, but I'm a genius so I'll be up to par soon enough.

The title of this thread alone makes my eyes form tears of joy. Could he be the Chosen One?

I too, shall follow your lead!

With this Flash I give up my life for the preservation of the Crew of Clocks.  In animating this story I am raising my hand from the ground in which we lay worn and hopeless.  I wish others to follow in my lead and bring life to the collective once again.  This is not how the Clock Crew perishes, on some shitty inactive message board (sry guyz, not tryn 2 b meen).  I pour out my soul and with the release will be my final breath.

For anybody who even knows or cares, this story has been incomplete for some time.  There is only one surviving relic and it ends with the villain escaping from a moving train.  Now, 13 years later, a new saga begins.

I remember watching a couple of your movies when I was a wee lad. Looking forward to what you're making next!

Would you say it's been easy for you to get back into Flash? I think about picking it back up everytime I visit this place, but I haven't touched it at all in over a decade and literally remember almost nothing. I was a lot more apt at learning tech stuff when I was a teen. I picked up a few bad habits in my older teen years and I'm definitely not as sharp as I used to be. I just don't want to buy it and have it be a huge waste of money because it was too hard for me. Not to mention Flash has probably changed since then, and even when I used it back then I was only using 4 and not the latest version. Is the layout still like how it used to be or is it gonna be totally different and overwhelming for someone who isn't as tech savy as he used to be?

im not good at flash, but i want to help

ok, so nowadays, flash 8 is the best flash around. its easy to use, it has cool tools, and if you have used flash MX (the 2001 version), then its (almost) the same, except from the fact that flash 8 is faster, cooler and has more extra-tools to play with.

as for getting back in shape when it comes to animating after a long animation-hibernation, then....
its possible.

just check out a few tutorials in NG if you feel rusty...       (here:   )
http://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/creator-resources/tutorials
also you can use ''tutorials'' in NG's search engine.

i hope that i have helped, with my two cents.

I feel like anyone who doesn't close that immediately after reading the title has bigger problems than forgetting how to use flash

You know, I actually am not having too much difficulty.  It's kinda like getting back on a bike after years.  You'll need to relearn how to balance yourself a bit, but you never forget how the peddles and brakes work.  It took me a little while to relocate where all the tools are but after that I've been getting the hang of it.  The hardest part for me is the actual drawing, as I'm used to working in fast paced environments and taking the time to draw stuff good takes patience.  I used Flash 5 the most, followed by MX and 4, but using 8 now really doesn't seem that different.  Just more fancy looking.  I'd say download a trial and see how it feels in your hands.
