Finally got the money to build a real computer and this is what I went with. Unfortunately speccy thinks my CPU is a 7700 when in actuality it's a 9700k. Probably because I'm using a lower end Z370 mobo but whatever. Core temp recognizes it properly so idk.

Yeah, I checked the build list that I mostly used for my computer and  it recommended a 1660 like a month after I bought my 1060, and for the same price




I'd bow to them specs either way

From what I've read the 1660 isn't much cheaper than an RTX 2060. If it were me I'd just get one of them.

Okay, wait, speaking of building computers: this case has a bunch of expansion slots on the back, sure sure yeah yeah whatever, but one's vertical. Is that like... just another normal ass slot I can and should do whatever I want with, or is there a card that is traditionally installed sideways that should have priority for this slot?



even though I'm pretty sure the only things I'm ever adding to this machine are more storage drives, some kind of SD card slot front bay thing (ideally with other inputs as well), and maybe a capture card if I ever want to be hip and cool
