I hear that Bioshock 2 is pretty weak compared to the first. I recently bought the first for $5 in a Steam sale and can't really see what all the commotion is about. I've heard that it's got fantastic atmosphere, characters and story, but the actual gameplay can't keep me interested long enough to find any of those. It just feels so unsatisfying.

Feel free to convince me, since I'd like to enjoy a game I paid (5 BUX) for.

Crash Course is a free game and it's essentially a platform game in which you control your Xbox avatar. It's like the show 'Wipeout', without the lame jokes. Serious Sam: TFE is on sale all week for 400 points and so are Duke Nukem Manhattan Project and Serious Sam: TSE.

I completely agree with you both. I bought the platinum hits edition for the 360 because a bunch of my friends were on about it- but the gameplay just felt horribly clunky to me.

Bioshock doesn't appeal to everyone, but it does a great job getting the old timey style. Of course, people still dont shoot fireballs out of their hands or use telekinesis.

Contra ReBirth (Nintendo WiiWare)
 
This is the first Contra game I've ever played. I've seen what the original Contra is like, but I felt like trying out its entry in Konami's ReBirth series since I enjoyed Castlevania ReBirth.
 
The game is better than I expected: exciting but challenging! I'm stuck on the third stage because I want to clear the game without using a single continue. That might take be a few years to accomplish.
