"Chintendo" Vii Review

YouTube's Dr. Ashen, by popular demand, evidently, has imported one of the dreadful Chinese Wii ripoff consoles for the purpose of exposing its loveliness. I'm sure you've heard a bit about the Vii, but until now there hasn't been much in the way of reviews, due to its elusive nature.

As a collector, I might be inclined to import one too, just for the sake of it.

I like Dr. Ashens. He's like the Angry Nintendo Nerd with English wit and charm, and less  jokes about bodily waste. I'm glad he did this; now my reservations about the Vii are more or less evaporated. Still rather have my Wii, though...

Now I'm off to watch the review of the VC-1 games.

Not quite as bad as I was expecting, but it's not even 3D! Some of the games looked kinda poopy, but some looked mildly entertaining, in the "Internet Flash Game" sort of way.

The 3D elements are probably pre-rendered; not unlike the sprites in Donkey Kong Country or the graphics in those early "3D" adventure games on the PC and Mega CD, achieved with full motion video. It appears to have the same guts in it as a GBA, so I doubt it's actually capable of processing much in the way of 3D graphics.
