Getting hosting from Newgrounds was probably the best thing to ever happen to the CC. I find it incredibly sad if that's now jeopardized over these I'm a edgy teen issues. I'm a little surprised at Tom's reaction there, but then, he's getting one side of the story, and seeing nothing but bored negativity from the side of the Crew.

2. We need to write a formal apology for what we did, and for our members who acted so rudely on the NG BBS.

3. We should ban anyone who acts out in ways on the NG BBS that would have a negative impact on the standing of the Clockcrew with Newgrounds. I'm not saying they'd have to kiss the NG admin's asses other anything, but maybe people should think twice about what they say before starting an incident. Funny you should say that; I'm writing a personal letter like that and I'm going to mail it (real, physical mail) it to Newgrounds.  Maybe we should all do it, send lots of cards and things like that.  I'm sending mine on my own, hopefully tomorrow.

We don't owe anything to the site that made this group possible, that hosts our site, features our movies, gives us our own holiday, and provides us with a steady influx of new members? We're not just working with Newgrounds because they're our host but because we've had a long standing relationship with them and it's much more in our interest to have a good partnership with them than not. Over the past year we've done a lot to encourage growth and communication between our organizations, and now we're on the verge of going from allies to enemies. I don't see how that could possibly benefit our situation. We need to have diplomacy with our friends and integrity within our ranks.

And who wants to have to change hosting anyway? Are you going to pay for it? We have enough difficulty getting the resources to even maintain the site let alone pick up our belongs and settle elsewhere.

Spamming the Portal to its capacity is something that happened by circumstances on Clock Day 2005, it shouldn't turn into something that Clocks just do when they get bored. If it's gotten to the point where it annoys Tom (and I imagine it does if he really had to call up Wade to tell him to do something about it) then it's just stupid.

I don't know about punishing people who do negative stuff on the NG bbs, I think it was already established in the past that posting something like "let's go spam the NG bbs" in the General Forum is going to get you in trouble.

Pissing off people on NG because they care too much about things they shouldn't care at all about is in good fun. Pissing off Wade is as easy as putting on a pair of pants that say "Wade is a fag". Pissing off Tom is kind of an accomplishment. Honestly, if we'd get our hosting pulled, I'm hanging my hat. I've no interest in going back to changing hosts every few months and having to put up with someone like Bit or Magic just because they provide the hosting.

edit: I don't know if Tom's PM there is the full story - he might just be coming on a little strong to give Rupee some support (don't forget that from where Tom's standing, Rupee is a guy who loves Newgrounds and contributes to it a good deal, and we're the guys who spammed the Portal, complained when Wade took action, spat out the guy who took Newgrounds's side and then made a gleeful troll post about it on the NG bbs). But if just the word of Rupee would be enough to get us booted, I wouldn't know what the fuck.

1.) We didn't ask for hosting.
2.) I'm not sure what you mean by feature? Like put on the frontpage, which happens like once every blue Monday? Or hosts our flash? Which, last I checked, generates truckloads of ad revenue for Newgrounds?

4.) One day the new members are what's killing us, the next we should thank Newgrounds on our bare knees for them?

Seeing as how Rupee seems to be the spokesperson for the Clock Crew, and how Tom Fulp is willing to take his skewed word for everything, I'd say that partnership and communication is just great as it is! (That's sarcasm.)

When the site went down a couple of weeks ago we had a backup board up and running in hours. Who cares if we have to switch again? In the past those times of change always brought us closer together and saw a surge in spirit and creativity. Things are kind of in a slump anyways, so maybe a change of site is overdue?
