Well, yes, I understand that, however the statements like "people who play gaia are gays/furries" is what I was getting at. If the cc doesn't want to be associated with the game, that's all fine and good, but people will always have different opinions. "We here at the cc don't like the game, it has too many stupid people on it." is a lot better than "You're a fag for playing the game."

Except that the latter does a far better job of the goal of keeping those kinds of people away. "That game sucks" is not nearly as harsh a response (and thus not nearly as effective a deterrent) as "Fuck off you worthless faggot." They might even go back to their site and tell their idiot friends that the Clock Crew made fun of them, which will make it less likely that any of them will come around.
